Leola Forman Kirkland Services for Leola Forman Kirkland, 93, of Ferriday were held 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at Sycamore Baptist Church with the Rev. Mack Walker and Brother Richard Cullum officiating.
Burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Kirkland was born July 8, 1914, in DeQuincy, the daughter of Charlie and Ada Forman. She passed away Saturday, September 29, 2007, at Natchez Community Hospital.
She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jasper T. Kirkland; daughters Earlene Thompson and Linda Keyes; grandchildren Tommy Beatty and Debra Hirschelman; brothers Arnold and Randolph Forman; and sister Myrle Dodge.
Survivors include daughters Betty Harrison of Natchez; Margie Porter of Jonesville; Nola Farmer and her husband, David, both of Ferriday; Murlean Milligan of Slidell; 18 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren; one great-great-great grandchild; and a number of friends.
Pallbearers were grandsons and great grandsons. |
