The Concordia Community Development Center, 107 E.E. Wallace Blvd., Ferriday, has a limited amount for funds available for energy assistance through the 2007 Emergency Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LHEAP).

Telephone appointments only will be taken of a first-come first-serve basis on Monday, January 7, 2008, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Walk-in appointments will not be accepted.

The telephone number to call for an appointment is 318-757-9213. Concordia Parish's first half of LIHEAP allocation is $22,494.89 which will serve approximately 50 households.

LIHEAP will assist households in meeting the burden of high heating and cooling expenses. For guidelines, documents needed for interview and for more information please call Henderson Cook, Center Supervisor, Concordia Community Development Center at 318-757-9213.

Services are available to all persons on a non-discriminatory basis without regard to color, sex, national origin, age or handicap.

If you have received a LIHEAP payment within the last 7 months, then you will not be eligible until your 7 months have past from the month & date of your last application. Please call (318) - 757-9213 to find out when was the last time you received LIHEAP assistance.
