Annie Mae Burks
Memorial services for Annie Mae Burks, 86, of Waterproof were held today, Wednesday, January 9, 2008, 11 a.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Ferriday.
Burial followed at Good Samaritan Cemetery in Waterproof under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Mrs. Burks was born February 3, 1921, in Marietta, AR, to Andrew Nelson and Laura Jackson. She passed away January 4, 2008, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Burks and her parents.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Stigall and wife, Wanda, of Detroit, MI, W. C. Brown and wife, Geraldine, of Pittsburg, CA; two daughters, Myra L. Walker and Gloria Scott of Waterproof; one brother, Arthur Taylor; sisters, Thelma McDonald and Doris Taylor, all of Detroit; grandson, Stanley T. Smith and wife, Tamara, of Gulfport, MS; niece, Gladys Jean Wiley of Waterproof; 15 grandchildren; 32 great, grandhildren; six great-great, grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins. |
