Story Archives: Vidalia girls fall to Marksville

Vidalia girls fall to Marksville
by Joey Martin - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Vidalia High's girls tipped off its District 3-3A schedule with a loss at Marksville High Tuesday.

The boys did not play.

Because the Sweet 16 Tournament starts a week earlier than the boys playoffs, the girls begin district play earlier.

Marksville jumped ahead of Vidalia 34-3 in the first quarter and led 49-5 at halftime.

Rachael Wagoner led the Lady Vikings with seven points.

The Lady Tigers improved to 25-1 overall, while Vidalia fell to 5-13.

Vidalia's boys host Tioga in a non-district game, while the Lady Vikings host Buckeye in a district contest.
