Ferriday crushes Farmerville

Ferriday High's boys basketball team scored more than 20 points in three quarters as the Trojans ran roughshod over Farmerville, 95-43 in Ferriday Friday to improve to 3-0 in District 2-2A.

The Lady Trojans also had an easy time, posting a 71-26 win over Farmerville.

Ferriday's boys led the Farmers 28-15 after one period and increased that lead to a 44-23 at halftime.

Ferriday outscored Farmerville 51-20 in the second half.

Montrell Tennessee led Ferriday with a career high 34 points, while Alrion McKeel netted 20 and Levier Pryor 13. Matthew Smith added 10.

Ferriday's girls jumped out to a 16-4 first quarter lead over Farmerville and extended that lead to 40-8 at halftime.

Shante Poole led the Lady Trojans with 18 points, while Jasmine Butler and Deonka Birdon added 14 points each and Jasmine Upchurch 12.
