William Dixon Funeral services for William Dixon, 59, of Vidalia will be held Thursday, January 31, 2008, 12 noon at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Natchez.
Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Natchez under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Dixon was born December 22, 1948, in Natchez to Will Hargrave and Rosa Lee Dixon. He passed away January 24, 2008, at Natchez Regional Medical Center.
He was a security guard for the Isle of Capri Casino and Hotel. He was a member of the King Fisherman's Bass Club, Hunting Club, NAACP and a number of other organizations.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Alvin Bell; and grandson, Christopher Bell.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Linda Bell Dixon of Vidalia; three daughters, Pamela King of Smyrna, TN, Connie Owens and husband, Charles, of Garland, TX, LaTonya Dixon, and husband, Mayo, of Greenbrier, AR; two sisters, Joyce Wesley, Paulette Marshall and husband, Addis, of Natchez; 10 grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. |
