Effie Mae Dobson Funeral services for Effie Mae Dobson, 59, of Natchez were held today, Wednesday, January 30, 2008, 2 p.m. at Comer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Howington officiating.
Burial followed at Highland Park in Sicily Island under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Dobson was born November 3, 1948, in Osceola, AR, the daughter of Charlie and Ruby Caudle. She passed away Saturday, January 26, 2008, in Augusta, GA.
She was a resident of the Natchez area for over 40 years, formerly from Pioneer. She was a dietitian at Natchez Regional Medical Center and was later employed with Commonwealth Insurance Company.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin Dobson; three sons, Melvin Dobson Jr. of Natchez, Robert Dobson of Vicksburg and Carroll Dobson of Ferriday; five brothers, Roger Caudle of Modesto, CA, Jesse Caudle of Shreveport, Archie Caudle of Delhi, Albert Caudle of Pioneer and Reuben Caudle of Searvy, AR; three sisters, Fredia Taylor, Daisey Nash and Amalue Patrick, all of Delhi; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Dwight Rodrigues, Jeremy Chapentier, Leon Wiley, Melvin Dobson, William Rufus Powell, Angelo Martinez and Eddie Hernandez. |
