Sherrie Skipper Guthrie Funeral services for Sherrie Skipper Guthrie, 53, of Natchez were held Monday, January 28, 2008, 11 a.m. at Ferriday Church of God with the Rev. Paul Burress officiating.
Burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Guthrie was born January 31, 1954, in Newellton, the daughter of Luther Skipper Sr. and Ruth Skipper. She passed away Thursday, January 24, 2008, at her residence in Natchez.
She was employed with Hansel and Gretel Day Care in Natchez. Mrs. Guthrie formerly owned and operated Cottage Grocery and was a member of Ferriday Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael D. Guthrie; parents; and one brother, James Skipper.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathrine Ann Green and husband, Greg, and Michelle Louise Guthrie, all of Natchez; three sisters, Louise Welborn of Hammond, Allene Hoss of DeRidder, and Mary White of Ferriday; and three brothers, Luther Skipper Jr., Raymond Skipper and Bobby Skipper, all of Waterproof.
Pallbearers were family and friends. |
