ELECTIONS ON SATURDAY IN CLAYTON, VIDALIA, FERRIDAY

Voters in Clayton, Vidalia and Ferriday will elect mayors and other municipal officials during Saturday's primary election.

CONCORDIA STATISTICS ON 2007 DRUG ARRESTS

Most drug offenses in the parish are committed in the Vidalia area, most offenders are white and male, and prescription fraud to obtain narcotics is on the rise.

PARISH GRAND JURY RECONVENES ON POLICE ISSUE

The Concordia Parish Grand Jury went back in session this morning (Wednesday) to continue its investigation into alleged misconduct within the Ferriday Police Department.

BLANKENSTEIN GETS UNANIMOUS SUPPORT FOR SUPERINTENDENT

The Concordia Parish School unanimously approved Loretta Blankenstein as superintendent of parish schools during a special meeting Thursday night. Blankenstein had served as Acting Superintendent since late last year.
