The Concordia Parish Grand Jury went back in session this morning (Wednesday) to continue its investigation into alleged misconduct within the Ferriday Police Department.

Dist. Atty. John Johnson subpoenaed 12 individuals to appear before the panel.

Twenty-six persons -- including police officers from Adams County, Concordia and Catahoula parishes and the Louisiana State Police -- were subpoenaed to appear before the Grand Jury on October 1 concerning this matter.

The Grand Jury is investigating a number of complaints lodged against the Ferriday Police Department concerning a variety of matters including civil rights, towing issues, arrest tactics, alleged false arrests and bond postings.
