Funeral services for Charlie Walker, 87, of Woodville, MS, will be held Friday, February 8, 2008, 12 noon, at Beech Grove Baptist Church in Woodville with Rev. Oren Ruth Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Walker was born April 23, 1920 in Ft. Adams, MS, to Willie Fox and Leola Walker. He passed away January 31, 2008, at Fields Memorial Hospital in Centreville, MS.

He was a farmer and served in the U. S. Navy during World War II.

Surviviors include his wife, Gladys Jones Walker; two sons, Charles Walker of Woodville, Willie Walker and wife, Dorothy, of Queens, NY; three daughters, Leola Williams, Dora Walker and Gloria Walker, all of Woodville; one sister, Mary E. Clark of Los Angeles, CA; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three godchildren, Nicole Fountain of Woodville, John Delaney of North Carolina, Delores Cage of Baton Rouge; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
