Monterey boys cut down Forest

Monterey High's boys made it a clean sweep of Forest as the Wolves defeated the Bulldogs 66-46 in Monterey Friday.

Monterey outscored Forest 20-5 in the third period to overcome a two point deficit at halftime.

Beau Shively led the Wolves with 14 points, while Billy Metcalf and Jared Ensminger added 11 points each.

Austin Lipsey chipped in 10.

Monterey's girls fell to Forest 55-42.

Monterey led 12-10 after one period before the game was tied 23-23 at halftime.

Madison Simpson led Monterey with 17 points.

Monterey's boys and girls fell to Kilbourne High in a pair of district games Tuesday.

Monterey hosts Epps Friday in its final home game of the season.
