Vidalia hosting jamboree
Vidalia High will host a B-team jamboree Thursday and varsity jamboree on Friday.
Both jamborees begin at 4:30 p.m.
Vidalia, Franklin Parish, Block, Monterey and West Feliciana will compete in the B-team jamboree with each team playing two 3-inning games or a 45-minute time limit.
On Friday in the varsity jamboree, Franklin Parish faces West Feliciana at 4:30 p.m. for three innings, followed by Vidalia against West Feliciana and Vidalia against Franklin Parish.
Vidalia fell to Mangham 11-2 Monday in a scrimmage game.
"We know we are going to have some growing pains, but one thing we know is that these kids will play hard every time they go on the field," said Viking coach Johnny Lee Hoffpauir.
Vidalia opens its season on Feb. 19 at home against Ouachita Parish High School. |
