William T. Williams Graveside services for William T. "Dutch" Williams, 90, of Sicily Island were held Saturday, February 16, 2008, at New Pine Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Louis Sklar officiating.
Burial followed under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. Williams was born Jan. 30, 1918, in Milford, DE, the son of Dale and Pearl Potts Williams. He was formerly a roustabout and a member of the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Williams; his parents; two brothers, Arthur Williams and Dale Williams Jr.; and three sisters, Mabel Novak, Betty Williams Potts and Ruth Singleton.
Survivors include one daughter, Bernice Golmon and husband, Ray, of Sicily Island; one grandson, James A. Golmon and wife, Kim, of Vidalia; two granddaughters, Michelle Sykes and husband, Anthony, of Houma, and Renee Ford and husband, Donald, of Foules; eight great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were James Golmon Jr., Gene Hilliard, Mickey Brunet, Clay Hilliard, Donald Ford and Anthony Sykes. |
