Phillis G. Burress
Funeral services for Phillis G. Burress, 66, of Ferriday were held Saturday, February 16, 2008, 11 a.m. at Ferriday Church of God with the Rev. Bill Isaacs officiating.
Private family services followed under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Burress was born November 11, 1941, in Cheyenne, WY, the daughter of Keith and Eulala Creek. She passed away Monday, February 11, 2008, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday.
She was a resident of Ferriday for the past 10 years, a self-employed Provider agent and was a member of the Ferriday Church of God.
She was preceded in death by one son, Mark Wayne Burress; her parents; daughter-in-law, Theresa Burress; and three sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Burress; four sons, Paul Vinson Burress Sr., Phillip James Kent Burress, Paul Vinson Burress Jr. and Mark Phillip Michael Burress; one daughter, Patricia Lynn Burress; three grandchildren, Alexandra Spurgon, Hannah Micah Marie Burress and Mark Phillip Branum Burress; two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Terri Mae Burress and Sean Paul Burress; two brothers; and one sister. |
