Edna Westbrook Memorial services for Edna "Yvonne" Westbrook, 60, of St. Joseph were held Saturday, February 23, 2008, 2 p.m. at Maryland Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Foster officiating under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Westbrook was born July 11, 1947, in Newellton, the daughter of Robert and Mary Westbrook. She passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday.
She was a resident of St. Joseph and employed with Northeast Research Station for 20 years. She was a member of Maryland Baptist Church and loved the outdoors, fishing and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include one son, Chris Carnegie and wife, Jimmie Lynn, Rayville; two sisters, Martha Sue Delancy of Utica, MS, and Barbara Ann Bass and husband, Wayne, of St. Joseph; three grandchildren, Zach, Mason and Emma Grace Carnegie; two nieces, Crystal and Christian Bass; two nephews, Will Delancy and Chris Bass; and a number of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Hospital or the Humane Society. |
