Funeral services for Charlie Williams, 85, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Ferriday, will be held Saturday, March 22, 2008, 11 a.m. at Concordia Funeral Home with Rev. Freddie Schiele officiating.

Graveside services will be held Monday, March 24, 2008, 9 a.m. at National Cemetery in Natchez under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Mr. Williams was born August 30, 1922 in Ferriday, the son of Ed Duley and Pearlie Williams Evans. He passed away March 14, 2008, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City.

He was a World War II veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Budd Ross.

Survivors include his wife, Lucinda Griggs Williams of Kansas City; special niece and caregiver, Willie Palmer of Kansas City; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins in the Ferriday and Vidalia area.
