Huntington nips Amite School Center
by Joey Martin - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Joey Roberts had a two-run home run in the second inning to key a

3-run rally as Huntington defetead Amite School Center 5-3 in Ferriday

Saturday.

Huntington added a run each in the third and fifth innings.

Jordan Wilson got the win for the Hounds, who lost to Amite School

Center in ASC's round robin tournament earlier this month.

"We were glad to get the win," said Huntington coach Mitch Ashmore.

"Right now we're just looking to get some momentum in confidence and

any way possible. It's been real up and down this season."

Huntington returns to action Friday as the Hounds travel to Riverdale

for a non-district game before going to Tensas Tuesday. The two teams

will finish a game suspended after four innings on March 10 with

Huntington leading 4-1 after four.
