by Joey Martin - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Ferriday High's baseball team dropped a pair of slugfests last week,

falling to Carroll High 12-11 on Friday before dropping a game to

Pointe Coupee on Saturday, 16-12.

Nicco Armado. Demarco Lewis and Josh Conners had home runs for the

Trojans against Carroll.

Malcolm Griggs got the start for the Trojans, while Starlin Hawkins

finished with seven strikeouts.

Ferriday opens its district schedule Friday at Jonesboro-Hodge.

"We need to find some defense," said Trojan coach George Barnes. "We're

scoring runs, but giving up too many."
