Funeral services for Helen A. Durham, 80, of Ridgecrest were held Friday, March 21, 2008, 3 p.m. at Comer Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with Rev. Don Tate and Ryan Manning officiating.

Burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.

Mrs. Durham was born January 15, 1928, in Winnsboro, the daughter of Solomon L. and Lissie W. Aldridge. She passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2008, in Ferriday.

Mrs. Durham had been a resident of Ridgecrest for 52 years and she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Ferriday Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Wilmer "Buddy" Durham of Ridgecrest; two sons, James R. Durham and wife, Lynn, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Ferris L. Durham and wife, Wanda, of Ridgecrest; daughters, Brenda Durham Taylor and husband, William Ford, of Sugar Land, TX, and Patricia Durham Poole, and husband, Tim, of Monterey; brother, Charles Aldridge of Magnolia, MS; sister, Edith Reeves of Winnsboro; 10 grandchildren, Mike Durham, Cherie Durham, Kris Durham, Tyson Durham, Felissa Taylor Nause, Amanda Taylor Silberman, Samuel Martin, Rebecca Martin Burley, Jesse Poole, and Alanna Poole; 13 great-grandchildren and many friends.

Pallbearers were Sam Martin, Jesse Poole, Tyson Durham, Ty Burley, Glen Micheau, Natahn Nause, Chase Smith, and Mike Durham.
