Ferriday gets first win
by Joey Martin - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Ferriday High's baseball team captured its first District 2-2A game of the season, defeating Lake Providence 11-10 in Ferriday.

Nicco Armaddo was 3-for-4 with a home run, while Bobby Madison had two hits.

Malcolm Griggs was the winning pitcher, while Starlin Hawkins picked up the save.

"We held them scoreless the last three innings," said Ferriday coach George Barnes. "We grew up a little bit in that game. But we're still taking baby steps."

Ferriday visits Sterlington in another district game Thursday.
