Four-year-old and kindergarten registration for Concordia Parish public schools for the upcoming school year is slated for Friday, May 2, according to Supt. Loretta Blankenstein.

Registration will begin at 8:30 am and continue until 2:30 p.m.

To be eligible for the four-year-old program, students must be four on or before September 30. To be eligible for kindergarten, students must be five on or before September 30.

Parents are asked to bring their child's birth certificate, Social Security card, immunization record and proof of residency to register for their child's designated school.

Immunization records may be obtained from the Concordia Parish Health Unit in Ferriday on Monday and Tuesday of each week, the fourth Wednesday of each month in Vidalia, or from your private physician.

For additional information, contact Dr. Brenda Moore at the Concordia Parish School Board at 336-4226, Extension 164 or your child's designated school.
