Funeral services for Andrew "Coony" Banks, 82, of Ferriday will be held Friday, April 18, 2008, 11 a.m. at St. James Baptist Church in Frogmore with Rev. L. B. Oliver officiating.

Burial will follow at National Cemetery in Natchez under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Banks was born December 30, 1925, in Lorman, MS, the son of Ephram and Georgia Baker Banks. He passed away April 12, 2008, at Veterans Hospital in Alexandria.

He was a retired logger and a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II.

Survivors include five sons, Alton Banks, Albert Banks, Ephem Banks, Raymond Banks and Chris Davis; three step-sons, William Leonard and Bobby Leonard, all of Ferriday, and Robert Leonard of North Carolina; five daughters, Ethel Banks, Romania Banks, Linda Leonard, Daisy Leonard, all of Ferriday, Mildred Banks of Hot Springs, AR; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
