Funeral services for Charles C. Ellis, Sr., of Seattle, WA, are under the direction of Bonney-Watson Funeral Home in Seattle.
Mr. Ellis was born November 16, 1917, in Vidalia, to Joseph P. Latham and Savannah Latham of Ferriday. He passed away April 12, 2008.
He was a veteran of World War II, a painter and carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Lee Jackson; and a brother, George Ellis.
Survivors include his children, Danny Ellis, Jerry Ellis, Carolyn Ellis, Corrine Walker and Malcom Earl Ellis, all of Seattle, Franky Ellis of Ferriday, Charles C. Ellis Jr., of Lake Charles, Charles Hogans of Oakland, CA; grandchildren, Aisha Ellis, Keith Ellis, Michael Ellis, Leanna Terrell, Aaron Ellis, Kayla Ellis, Malcom Ellis Jr., Chenelle Ellis, Danielle Ellis Simon, Mark C. Ellis, Charles C. Ellis III, Nicole Walker and Eugene Walker; and five great-grandchildren. Also siblings, Mary Jackson, Laura Ellis, Marie Martin of Jackson, MS, Lena Branch of Los Angeles, CA, Jack Ellis of San Diego, CA, David Ellis of Ferriday, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. |
