Agnes Mae Slover Coleman Herron Funeral services for Agnes Mae Slover Coleman Herron, 95, of Jonesville were held today, Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Comer Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Williams officiating.
Burial followed at Natchez City Cemetery.
Mrs. Herron was born August 26, 1912, in Catahoula Parish to John and Sarah Gertrude Morris. She passed away Monday, April 28, 2008, in Ferriday.
She wa a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Waterproof.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Walter A. Slover; daughter, Mary Alwell; and granddaughters, Sherrill Littleton and Barbara Dunlap.
Survivors include her husband, William Herron Sr. of Jonesville; son, Freddie Slover of Natchez; daughters, Frances Blalack of Waterpoof and Evelyn Stigall of Vidalia; stepchildren, William Herron Jr., Joy Trahern, Michael Herron, all of Jonesville, and Susan Barbo of Shreveport; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and special friend, Gerry Ketchens.
Pallbearers were William Herron Jr., Austin Collins, Michael Herron, Heath Herron, Carl Michael Williams and David Lea. |
