Natchitoches pair win Fuss & Cuss John and Emma Boozman of Natchitoches fired a 62 on Sunday to move from a tie for seventh place to the 2008 Fuss & Cuss Couples championship at Panola Woods Country Club.
The Boozman's shot a 67 on Saturday, but followed that up with a 62 to win the tournament by a stroke over Johnny Nagle and Tammy Trichel and Pat and Cathy Hinson, who both shot 130s.
Nagle and Trichel shot a 62 on Saturday, while the Hinsons were second after Saturday with a 63.
Finishing in fourth place at 132 was the team of Carl Newburg and Mary Edwards.
Shooting 133s were Jay and Lorna O-Conner and Robin and Sandy Renner.
The teams of Rick and Sharon Berkin and Frankie Spence and Ashley Magee fired a 135, while C.J. Swillie and Mary LaPrairie shot a 136.
Cliff and Crystal McGlothin shot a 137, Mark Patterson and Pam Wood came in at 142 and David and Sherry Williams shot a 144.
Winning the first flight with a 133 was the team of Ellis and Beverly Knapp. Ricky and Sandy Judice were second at 137, while Mike and Sissy Pace were third at 138. Coming in fourth at 139 was the team of Mike Cook and Kathy Rowzee.
Jack and Gwen Cook won the second flight at 135. Cotton and Kay Renner were secodn at 138, Richard and Corey Criswell were third at 140, while Clyde Savoy and Becky Meaux were fourth at 141.
Jack and Florene Bonner won the third flight at 140. Babe and Jane Huff were second at 141. Larry and Sharon Manthei were third at 142.
Tying for fourth place with 143s were the teams of Keith and Sara Dallalio, Carol and Marilyn Bryan and Tom and Judy McKnight.
The teams of James and JoAnn Bordelon and Ronny Russell and Brenda Johnson tied for top honors in the fourth flight with 145s.
Johnny and Annette LeBlanc were third at 147, while Johnny and Betty Moore placed fourth at 148.
The team of Jeff Bairnsfather and Leann Hamilton won the fifth flight with a 149.
Verbis and Fern Fontenot and Pat and Cheryl Fontenot tied for second at 154, while the teams of Joe James and Julie Crigler and Brent and Rosalie Smith were fourth at 156.
Ron Panda, Ellis and Bevery Knapp and Gay Book were closest to the hole winners.
Chris Brown, Ellis Knapp, Stacy LaPrairie and Leslie Wagoner won the longest drive awards.
Panola Woods will host the Tracy Roberts Memorial Golf Tournament on May 17. |
