National Tourism Week: Cruise on down to the Vidalia riverfront
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Louisiana marked its 196th birthday on April 30.

To celebrate this historic event, as well as National Tourism Week, May 10-18, the Concordia Parish Tourist Commission invites everyone to join in the celebration.

Third, fourth and fifth grade students participated in "Art of Louisiana" sponsored by the Ferriday Community Service Club. The topics assigned were agriculture, animals and birds, events or tourist attractions in Louisiana. All were commended for a wonderful job.

"Art of Louisiana" is on display in the Louisiana Welcome Center.

The Concordia Parish Tourist Commission invites you to celebrate National Tourism Week, May 11, 2008 - May 17, 2008 by coming to the Louisiana Welcome Center housed in the Vidalia Conference and Convention Center.

Another super event on the Riverfront will be the 6th Annual "Cruising on the River," May 8 - 10. There will be lots of great food, entertainment and beautiful cars, promising great fun for the entire family.

For further information, please contact Guylyn Boles with the Concordia Parish Tourist Commission at 318/336-5633.
