Daniel Alexander Sr.
Funeral services for Daniel Alexander, Sr., 91 of Harrisonburg will be held at Kidron Baptist Church on Sunday, May 11, 2008, 2 p.m. with Bro. R. V. Couch officiating.
Burial will follow at Heard Cemetery in Manifest under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Jonesville.
Mr. Alexander was born October 30, 1916, in Ward Three, LA, and passed away Friday, May 9, 2008, at Harrisonburg.
He was a resident of Harrisonburg, a retired farmer and a member of Kidron Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Ogden Alexander; father, Danny Myers Alexander; mother, Victoria Reeves Alexander; son, Ernest Alexander; brother, Cecil Alexander; sisters, Zelma McDonald and Allie Gordy; and brother, Noland Alexander.
Survivors include daughters, Cecilia Ainsworth and husband, Ralph, Carranell Artigue and husband, Mike, all of Harrisonburg; son, J. D. Alexander, Jr., and wife, Martha, of Harrisonburg; brothers, J. R. Alexander of Clayton, Billy Wayne Alexander of Walker; sister, Inez Givens of Alabama; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason Ainsworth, Chris Alston, Lance Ainsworth, Dan Edwards, Clint Edwards and Wes Edwards.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wilbert White, T. J. Bridges and Doyle Stockman. |
