Michael Dewayne Griggs
Funeral services for Michael Dewayne Griggs, 14, of Ferriday will be held Saturday, May 24, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Shep Bethley officiating.
Burial will be in the Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The teen died May 15, 2008, in an accident on Hwy. 84 West in Ferriday.
A student at Ferriday High, he was born Feb. 13, 1994 in Ferriday to Jonathan Garrison and Colleen Griggs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jonathan "Doty" Garrison.
Survivors include his mother, Colleen Griggs of Ferriday; three brothers, Donnie Sanders Jr. and LaShon Griggs, both of Ferriday, and Javentay Henderson of Monroe; four sisters, Kayna Garrison, Jada Griggs, Asya Griggs and DeAndra Griggs, all of Ferriday; maternal grandmother, Pauline Griggs Matthews of Ferriday; paternal grandmother, Annette Garrison of Ferriday; uncle, Alvin Garrison of Ferriday; and a host of cousins, friends, aunts and uncles. |
