Little Angels win tournament

The Vidalia Little Angels Softball team won the Eunice Memorial Day Tournament Saturday, going 4-0 in the tournament.

Vidalia defeated the SWA Slamming Sluggers 9-3 in their first game before blasting 100% Softball 31-3 in their second gamer.

Vidalia defeated 100% Softball 14-2 to advance to the finals, where they beat the SWAC Slamming Sluggers 14-0.

Vidalia outscored its opponents 68-8 in the tournament.

Members of the team are Katelynn Bertelsen, Amber

Thompson, Callie Burkett, Hannah Fitt, Anna Kate Scott, Maddisyn Beard, Jewel Thompson, Kayla Gilmore, Shay Harris, Lorren Marsh, Katelin Temple, Gabby Morace.

Little Angel coaches are Donald Bertelsen, Bill Harrell, Grubby Harrell, Paul Thompson and Carl Olds.

On Friday, the team will be have a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at the Vidalia Recreation Center between the hours of 11 a.m. to 2 pm.

The plates are $6.00 and includes spaghetti, green beans, homemade rolls, and cake slice.
