Ferriday announces all-stars The Ferriday Dixie Youth Major and Minor League Baseball All-Star teams were released last week.
Named as Ferriday Major League All-Stars were Ian Black and Tyler Stockstill of the Indians, D.J. Jones, Tommy Poole, Ashton Holland, Kile Lipsey, Dillon Smith and Trey Book of the Giants and Ty Brown, Hayden Cassels, Wade Simpson and Wyatt Boothe of the Mets.
The DYB Major League sub-district tournament will begin June 28 in Gilbert.
Named as Ferriday Minor League All-Stars were Weedie Davis, Ryan Mason, Za Davis and Ron Williams of the Braves, Jake Barlow, Jake Cooper, Cutter Robinson and Matthew Womack of the Cubs and BoTy Gray, Cole Hornsby, Dylan Maynard and Fred Washington of the Pelicans.
Winning the Major League Slugger's Derby were Ty Brown, first place and an $80 gift certificate from Sports Center, Ashton Holland, second place and $50 gift certificate from Sports Center and Tyler Stockstill, third place and $25 gift certificate from Hometown Sports.
Winning the Minor League Slugger's Derby were Juju Cooper, first place and an $80 gift certificate from Hometown Sports, Jake Barlow, second place and $50 gift certificate from Sports Center and BoTy Gray, third place and $25 gift certificate from Sports Center. |
