Josephine Lewis
Funeral services for Josephine Lewis, 89, of Ferriday will be held Saturday, June 21, 2008, 11 a.m. at Mercy Seat Baptist Church in Ferriday with Rev. Shep Bethley officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Wildsville under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Friday evening, 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born December 28, 1918 in Wildsville and passed away June 16, 2008, at Riverland Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Sarah Miller Lewis.
Survivors include one son, Everett Lewis; five daughters, Sarah Madison, Anna Jefferson, Jessie White and Merry Tennessee, all of Ferriday, Murray Lewis of Houston, TX; five sisters, Judy Lewis, Annie B. McCray, Lou Ella Lewis and Margaret Lewis, all of Ferriday, Anna Smith of New Orleans; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. |
