Effie Shiel Bell Funeral services for Effie Shiel Bell, 95, of Lake St. John will be held at Young's Funeral Home Thursday, July 3, 2008, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Corky Evans officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 3, 2008, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bell was born March 1, 1913, in Wesson, MS, to George Shiel and Callie Hicks Shiel. She passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Rapides General Medical Center in Alexandria.
She was a resident of Lake St. John, a Natachez seamstress, owner and operator of Lake St. John Grocery and a member of the Lake St. John Community Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Chambers; husband, Thomas Bell Jr.; four brothers, George Shiel, Carroll Shiel, Fred Shiel, and Burk Shiel; three sisters, Ella Shiel, Betty King and Sylvia Edwards; and a granddaughter, Jora Burrows.
Survivors include a stepson, Tom Bell and wife, Charlotte, of Lake St. John; stepdaughters, Bonnie Hagen and husband, Ted, of DeVine, TX, Tinker Rogers and husband, John, of ElDorado, AR; granddaughters, Stephanie Bell, Tina Mott and husband, John, Chrisanna Rogers; grandson John Rogers; two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Hailey Mott; two nieces, Betty Walker and Mary Horne; and a nephew, Gaylon Shiel.
Pallbearers will be William Coleman, John Mott, Bobby Marks, Tommy Faulkner, Leo Ivy, Carl Wilson and Gaylon Shiel. |
