Carolyn S. Hinson
Funeral services for Carolyn S. Hinson, 71, of Ferriday will be held at First Baptist Church in Ferriday Thursday, July 3, 2008, 2 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Gray officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Ms. Hinson was born January 2, 1937, in Ferriday to R. B. and Carrie Valentine Speed. She passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
She was a resident of Ferriday. She retired from LP&L after 26 years of service and then worked at Delta Bank for 12 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ferriday.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her son, Denny Hinson and wife, Susan, of Vidalia, Pat Hinson and wife, Cathy, of Ferriday; daughter, Beverly Hinson of Madison, MS; grandson, Brian Hinson and wife, Kim, of Bastrop, Matt Hinson and Brett Hinson, both of Vidalia; and great-granddaughter, Anna Brooke Hinson of Bastrop.
Pallbearers will be Brian Hinson, Matt Hinson, Brett Hinson, Stan Smith, Richard Smith, and Robert Webber.
Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Smith, Robert Neal, Smokey White, Josh Smith and Ross Smith.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Ferriday Music Ministry.
The family will receive friends today, Wednesday, July 2, 2008, 5 to 8 p.m. at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday. |
