Gloria Burley Parker Funeral services for Gloria Burley Parker, 64, of Vidalia were held Friday, June 27, 2008, 10 a.m. at Young's Funeral Home with Brother Preston Holder officiating.
Burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Ms. Parker was born August 19, 1943, in Natchez, the daughter of Edgar and Nell James. She passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at her home in Vidalia.
She was a licensed real estate agent and beautician. She was a member of the Workers Union, servicing nuclear power plants along the eastern seaboard.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Blount of Vidalia, Donna Holloway of Austin, TX, and Rene Burley Robinson and husband, Robert, of West Monroe; one son, David Burley and wife, Marie, of Monterey; one sister, Virgie Johnson and husband, Don, of New Jersey; one brother, David James and wife, Wanda, of Alexandria; 11 grandchildren, Jonathan Dodson and Ashley Blount, both of Monroe, Kyle Dodson and wife, Jennifer, of Clayton, Michael and John Waguespack and Everette and Emily Holloway, all of Texas, Amber and Kristen Goldman and Lauren Robinson, all of West Monroe, and Jennifer Scoggins of Jackson; and one great-grandchild, Conlan Hughes of Monroe,
Pallbearers were John Sturgeon, Howard Drane, Daniel Loy, Ronnie Tyson and Dewey Keen.
Honorary pallbearers were Joe Howell and Steve Hedrick. |
