The Vidalia Little Angels placed second at the Girls Youth Slow-Pitch World Tournament 10-under in Fayetteville Ar., last week.

Anna-Kate Scott of the Little Angels was named Defensive Tournament MVP, while Katelynn Bertelsen, Lindsay Walker, Katelin Temple and Scott were named to the all-tournament team.

Walker and Shay Harris were the long girls to have home runs out of the park.

The Vidalia team finished 4-3 in the tournament, scoring 85 runs in seven games, while allowing 87.

The Dirt Divas of Petal, Ms., won the tournament by finishing 6-0, scoring 114 points, while allowing only 25.

Bock Stars of Arkansas was third after going 5-2, while Civitan Travel Team of Tennessee placed foruth, going 4-1.

The Neece Stars of Arkansas were 3-3, the Oklahoma Shockers were 2-4, the ABF Roadrunners of Arkansas finished 1-3, while the Oklahoma Firestarters were 0-4.

Vidalia began pool play with a 19-13 loss to Bock, before beating the Shockers, 19-6.

In bracket game results, Vidalia beat the ABF Roadrunners, 23-18, downed the Civitan Travel Team, 12=8 before losing to the Dirt Divas, 14-0.

Vidalia beat Bock 14-6 to reach the finals before falling to Petal, 16-4.

Hayden Nash of Petal was named Tournament MVP, while Petal's Toree Clifton was named Offensive Tournament.
