Funeral services for Sarah Ferry Kimball, 67, of Vidalia were held today, Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 2 p.m. at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Glen Harrigill officiating.

Burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kimball was born February 3, 1941, in Vidalia, the daughter of Beatrice Topper and Charlie Ferry.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Lawrence Ferry.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Kimball Sr.; three children, Paul Kimball Jr. and wife, Cathy, of Vicksburg, MS, Robert Kimball and wife, Dede, and Jackie "Cissy" Kimball Johnson and husband, Tony, all of Vidalia; eight grandchildren, Paul Kimball III, Sabrina Johnson Stuckey, Robert Andrew Kimball, Toni Lee Johnson, Jacob Kimball, Jordan Kimball, Kyle Kimball, and Samuel Kimball; three great-grandchildren, Brent Clark, Ashlyn Stuckey and Karlie Jo Kimball; four sisters, Lillian McCurdy, Beatrice Barnes, Mary Ann Dunn, Sue Lowery, all of Vidalia; four brothers, David Ferry and Michael Ferry, both of Natchez, Sam Ferry, of Sibley, MS, and Charlie Ferry of Huntsville, AL.

Pallbearers were Billy Wayne Fitt, Bubba Johnson, John Stuckey, Sam Ferry Jr., Willie Lee Kimball and Andy Mize.

Honorary pallbearers were Chris McCurdy, Billy Kimball, Lance Moore, Steve Sloan, Andy Sloan, and Johnny Hardy.
