Mary Long Pecot A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday August 6, 2008 from 6 to 9 p.m. at David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter Street, New Iberia, La for Mrs. J.B. "Pete" Pecot, the former Mary Margaret Long, who died Sunday August 3, 2008 at 4 a.m. at her residence in New Iberia.
Mrs. Pecot's proudest achievements were her family and most of all her grandchildren, Alexa and Bennet. She was a graduate of LSU and was a devout fan of LSU sports, primarily LSU football. Her one wish was to have been able to make one more season. She enjoyed playing bridge with her regular group of friends. She always believed there was a huge conspiracy against LSU by all officials especially during losses.
Survivors include her husband Dr. J.B. "Pete" Pecot of New Iberia, one son; Shannon Pecot and wife, Leslie, of New Iberia; one daughter; Tina Pecot of Houston, TX; one sister; Billie Andrews of Baton Rouge; and two grandchildren; Alexa Rae Pecot and Bennet Jon Pecot, both of New Iberia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Elbert G. and Myrtle Kelley Long.
A special thanks to Jeanette Morris for her kindness and loving care. Donations may be made to the National Alzheimer's Association.
David Funeral Home 1101 Trotter Street, New Iberia, La. (337) 369-6336 is in charge of arrangements. |
