Mary Sanders Funeral services for Mary Sanders, 86, of Ferriday will be held Saturday, August 9, 2008, 11 a.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Ferriday with Pastor Wilbur Mason officiating.
Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Friday evening, 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Sanders was born January 24, 1922, in Ferriday to John Henry and Rebecca Hawkins. She passed away August 3, 2008, at Riverland Medical Center.
Survivors include two sons, Jesse L. Hawkins and wife, Marva, of New Orleans, and George Sanders of Arlington, TX; a daughter, Mary Hawkins of Ferriday; stepdaughter, Minnie Burks of Ferriday; a brother, Roosevelt Hawkins of Vidalia; sister, Ethel Williams of Vidalia; 20 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren. |
