Huntington's Lady Hounds played two games at the Amite School Center Tournament Saturday in Liberty.

Huntington fell to host ASC 16-1 in its first game.

The Lady Hounds and Amite, which had played 12 games going into the tournament, were tied at 0-0 going into the top of the third innings when Amite scored seven runs with two outs.

Julie Moak scored Huntington's only run.

The Lady Hounds were eliminated by Centreville in a 5-0 shutout.

The game was scoreless through three innings.

Huntington resumed playing fast-pitch softball this year after dropping the sport last season.

Huntington's game at River Oaks on Monday was cancelled because of rain.

The Lady Hounds play at Franklin Academy in Winnsboro in a district contest before competing in the Prairie View Tournament Saturday.

The Lady Hounds are 0-1 in district after falling to Wilkinson County Christian Academy in their opener.

Huntington travels across the river Monday and Tuesday with games at Adams County Christian School and Trinity, respectively.
