Raymond Joseph Dauzat
Funeral services for Mr. Raymond Dauzat were held today, Wednesday, August 20, 2008, 10 a.m. in the chapel of Hixson Brothers in Marksville with Bro. Gary Jones and Jerry Sharp, Jr. officiating.
Burial was held at Hopewell Cemetery in Centerpoint under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mr. Dauzat, 64, of Clayton, formerly of Brouillette, passed away at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday on Sunday, August 17, 2008.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hersey Dauzat, and wife, Joann Dauzat.
Survivors include his wife, Lorna Dauzat of Clayton; mother, Nora G. Dauzat of Brouillette; two sons, Roland Dauzat of Texas and Ellis Dauzat of Monela; two daughters, Paula Ponthieux of Mansura and Twylla Dauzat of Brouillette; two stepsons, Jerry Sharp, Jr., and Barry Sharp, both of Clayton; three stepdaughters, Shelia Mason and Sherry Harrell, both of Clayton, and Shanda Roberson of Natchez; one brother, Billy Dauzat of Brouillette; four sisters, Sarah Elaine Melancon of Natchitoches, Armitha "Pene" Lachney of Brouillette, Linda Roy of Lake Charles, and Nova Jean CoCo of Brouillette; nine grandchildren; and 18 step-grandchildren. |
