Hathaway Tournament scheduled
The second annual Kenneth Hathaway Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, Sept. 20 at Panola Woods Country Club.
Entry fee is $70 per person which includes golf and an awards lunch. A $100 contribution sponsors a hole and $125 sponsors a special event such as the longest drive, closest to the pin and putting contest.
The 3-person scramble will tee off at 8:30 a.m.
Hathaway taught at Vidalia High for 36 years before passing away from a heart attack two years ago.
Money raised from the tournament goes toward the Kenneth Hathaway Scholarship Fund. A 1,500 scholarship in memory of Hathaway was awarded to Bobby Dallalio last school year.
Donations such as soft drinks, water, door prizes, and money will also be accepted.
