Lady Hounds winless Huntington School fell to Wilkinson County Christian Academy 10-1 Tuesday in Woodville in search of their first win.
WCCA scored four runs in the first inning, one in the second, three in the third and added two in the fourth.
Huntington had four hits, led by Logan Blackmon with a double and single. Logan Blackmon also doubled.
The Hounds played two games at the River Oaks Tournament Saturday.
Huntington was held without a hit in a 5-0 loss to River Oaks in its first game.
The Lady Hounds fell to Glenbrook, 8-6 in its second game in extra innings.
Brown and Lauren Hall had two hits each. Julia Corbett, Blackmon, Tori Edwards and Jordan Jackson had one hit each.
The Lady Hounds had the bases loaded at one point with one out when rains came and delayed play. When play resumed, the next two Lady Hound batters went down swinging.
Huntington had a runner on second base in one inning when umpires said time had expired in the inning and they had to start a new inning.
Huntington hosts Trinity on Sept. 4 before welcoming ACCS on Sept. 8. |
