Trinity Episcopal scored three touchdowns in the second quarter on its way to a 54-14 win over Adams County Christian School Friday at Trinity.

R.J. Fleming ran for three touchdowns and had a punt return for a touchdown for the Saints.

Givonni Dent passed to Kent King for another score.

ACCS scored its first touchdown as Jodeci Barksdale intercepted a Dent pass and returned it 27 yards.Dent also had a touchdown pass to Brandon Daggs.

"Our guys never quit and kept fighting," said AC coach Paul Hayles. "We had way too many mistakes, which is still our Achille's heel. We had a moment where we were strongly competitive, but couldn't hold it. The main thing is to keep improving."

AC visits defending Class 2A champion Centreville Friday.

"We go from a good football team to one of the best," Hayles said. "We've just got to play and work to get some breaks."
