Republican primary canceled
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Republican Primary election scheduled for Saturday in Concordia Parish has been canceled, according to Clerk of Court Clyde Ray Webber.

Webber said elections were canceled statewide due to effects of Hurricane Gustav.

"We don't know when it will be rescheduled," said Webber, who was in the process Wednesday of contacting election supervisors with the news.

The Republican Primary in Concordia pitted incumbent Rodney Alexander of Quitman against Andrew Clack of Rayville.
