Willie Dixon Funeral services for Mr. Willie Dixon, 94, of Ferriday will be held Saturday, September 13, 2008, 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church on Second Street in Ferriday. Rev. Shep Bethley will officiate.
Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Friday evening 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Dixon was born February 15, 1914 in Natchez to Junior and Emmaline Montgomery Dixon. He passed away September 8, 2008, at Riverland Medical Center.
He was a brakeman for the railroad.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Dixon.
Survivors include one stepson, Charles Smith of San Francisco, CA; two nieces, Velma Jean Walker of Houston, TX, and Linda S. Dailey of Ferriday; four nephews, Don Dixon, Otis Grimble and H. P. Grimble, all of Ferriday, and Willie Mays of Jacksonville, IL; numerous cousins and other relatives in Sicily Island, Winnsboro, Monroe, Texas and California. |
