Heather Carroll, daughter of Rita Carroll of Natchez, and Matthew Ory, son of Lynn and Rodney Ory of LaPlace, announce their forthcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Opal and Willie Smedley of Ferriday and the late Nadine and George Presley of Clarksville, TX.

She is a graduate of Louisiana Community College and Northwestern University. She is employed by Comfort Suites in Vidalia as lounge manager.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Jeannette and Leonard Leblanc of Kentwood, and the late Claudia and Raymond Ory of LaPlace.

He is employed by Conoco Phillips as a lead operator and is a four-term elected member of St. John the Baptist Parish School Board.

The couple will marry September 20, 2008, at the Briar's in Natchez. A reception will follow at the Natchez Community Center.

Friends and family are invited.
