Donald 'Skipper' Smith Memorial services for Mr. Donald "Skipper" Smith, 69, of Ferriday are pending at this time. Services are under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. Smith was born January 3, 1939 and passed away Monday September 29, 2008.
He was a resident of Ferriday, a carpenter, and served his country in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Oscar Smith; mother, Vera Cooper Smith; brother, Ellis Odell Smith; sisters, Beatrice Wooten, Edna McDuff and Dorothy Hamilton.
Survivors include two sons, Tony and Linda Smith of Ferriday, and Jason Smith of Arkansas; daughter, Justin Baxter of Arkansas; brothers, Elwayne Smith of Clayton and Richard Smith of Monterey; sisters, Lorell Loomis of Ferriday, Murlyn McGregor of Franklinton, Marie Thornton of Franklinton, and Barbara Scarbrock of West Monroe; two granddaughters, Brittney Nicole Smith and Abby Gail Baxter. |
