Bogue Chitto swamps Cathedral Bogue Chitto scored 30 points in the first quarter in cruising to a 44-14 win over Cathedral Friday at D'Evereux Stadium.
Jeb White scored on a 3-yard run for the Green Wave, who trailed 37-7 at halftime.
The Bobcats returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, recovered an onsides kick and scored three plays later.
"We got off to a bad start and never could regroup," said Cathedral coach Craig Beesley. "I think we still had a mental lapse from the loss to St. Al and we were pretty banged up from that game."
White caught a 21-yard scoring pass from Preston Edwards in the final quarter.
Cathedral visits Mount Olive Hihgh Friday.
"We need to regroup," Beesley said. "Mount Olive runs a spread offense and throws the ball real well. We're having trouble defending the pass. We have to do a better job there and keep the ball out of their hands. Hopefully we can get back to playing our type of game this week." |
