Riverfield Academy scored 22 points in the second quarter on its way to a 49-20 win over Adams County Christian School Friday.

Riverfield scored the first 29 points of the game before Brandon Sanders broke loose on a 65-yard TD run.

"They had fourth down situation four times and we didn't stop them," said AC coach Paul Hayles. "It's hard to win that way. We did a better job of hanging on to the football. We just need improve in every aspect and continue to hold the course."

AC scored twice in the second period as Bryce Murray returned a kickoff 90 yards and Sanders scored on an 8-yard run.

ACCS hosts Parklane Friday.

"There's no doubt they are one of the better teams in the state," Hayles said. "Hopefully we can build some confidence and improve over the second half of the year."
